Welcome to the Slaughter of the Dissidents (SOD) skeptics page. This is your portal to learning more about people in the scientific and academic communities who have indicated, for one reason or another, that they are skeptics or dissenters with one or more aspects of evolution or neo-Darwinism.

The purpose of this page is to provide you with a starting point for investigating further into the careers and accomplishments of various dissenters we think are important. Some of the people listed on this page are Ph.D.'s and even Nobel prize nominees or winners.

Many ID critics offer up the claim that there are no competent educators or scientists who do not believe in or embrace evolution or Darwinism. This page is devoted to providing you with considerable evidence to rebut this obviously false notion. Those who continue to make such assertions are either ignorant about the many competent scientists, educators, and other scholars who are Darwin dissidents, or else they are engaged in deliberate attempts to deny it. Either way, the evidence is clear: the number of individuals who take issue with Darwinism is on the rise, and they are becoming more outspoken about it. It takes a great deal of courage to be an outspoken Darwin dissident given the enormous pressures that are often brought to bear upon them. Therefore, we salute all of the men and women of science and education who are bold enough to make their views known publicly. We are well aware of the price many of them have paid for making their positions known, and we dedicate SOD to them.

Dissent List Signatories. [PDF] This is a list of dissenters maintained and updated by the Discovery Institute in Seattle, WA, and includes Ph.D. signatories who concur with the following statement: "We are skeptical of claims for the ability of random mutation and natural selection to account for the complexity of life. Careful examination of the evidence for Darwinian theory should be encouraged.”

Scientists of the Christian faith. [HTML] This web site documents thousands of individuals who are both Christians, scientists and scholars. Not all Darwin skeptics are Christians, but many of them are Theists. Additionally, a growing number of atheists and agnostics maintain that a design perspective about the universe is an intellectually viable position. These luminaries destroy the false claim often made by many critics that Darwin skeptics who are "religious" are incompetent (because they allegedly believe in pseudoscientific notions) and are therefore incapable of practicing good science. We think the record of accomplishments achieved by these individuals clearly puts the boot squarely in the hiney of any such argument.
